Tour Description

Laya-Gasa Trek, Bhutan is considered one of the most scenic treks in Bhutan, offering amazing views of some of the most pristine and unspoiled landscapes in Bhutan. The first 5 days of this trek follow the same route as the Jhomolhari Trek, which offers beautiful views of Mt. Jhomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherim Gang. On the 6th day once we reach the Lingshi, we will diverge to the campesite at Chebisa.

For this trek, you will travel through remote mountain villages inhabited by Layaps (people of Laya), a distinct segment of the Bhutanese society with unique traditions, culture and appearance. Along the trail, you will spot indigenous animals such as blue sheep and Takins, the national animal of Bhutan.

The best seasons to complete this challenge are from April to June and from September to November.
